  Yeah, I can multiply correctly, thanks mate. > the default font size for most browsers is 16px I mean fonts are usually not 16 pixels in size - 16 pixels is a couple of a mm on most screens these days.

    Unless you're on a phone it's more likely than not to actually be 16 pixels. Otherwise it's based on your system's GUI scaling, which varies a good bit.

      Right, that's what I was saying originally. px doesn't seem to mean pixels, which is confusing. Why is anyone using pixels to layout graphical content in the first place?
