I live near where my wife and I grew up, exclusively because we find it important to have our kids spend time with their surviving grandparents. That's the only important thing in our lives that is location-specific.
- pbhjpbhj 8y agoWhen we first moved, my SO and I after Uni, we made no consideration of closeness to family. That was a mistake IMO - we're 4 hours from the nearest close family. Now our parents are older we would love to be closer. Would have helped immensely with caring for the kids to have grandparents local too.
