The only password killer is a password manager.
And guess what, is password protected.
- marcosdumay 8y agoKeepass can use a key file too.
- kevin_thibedeau 8y agoTurning "something you know" into "something you have"... or anyone else can have too.
- TremendousJudge 8y agoor worse (and more likely), it's something you can lose
- marcosdumay 8y agoIt's turning "something you know" into "something you know and something you have". For most people it's completely redundant because the passwords database is also "something you have". But it leads to some nice possibilities.
- guidodassori 8y agoI use unix pass with GPG, I know what you mean. And how the key is protected? By a password. You can stretch the chain, but at the end the point is the same.
- stephenr 8y agoI don't know what password manager you use, but I use TouchID to access mine. Yes it still has a password, which I can type if I need to, but it's a device-local password (or PIN in the case of my phone). I feel like every argument against password managers, uses the worst possible implementation as their basis for how they work.
