Your dignity? Americans may think that anything goes if you're broke, but in other countries (Japan for example) suicide is an acceptable way to save yourself and your family and your legacy from complete ruination.
- Aeolun 8y agoI wouldn’t say it’s an acceptable way. It’s just the only way people see/know to deal with unbearable shame. Unfortunately, in most cases killing yourself doesn’t actually help anyone, and now they have your death to deal with as well (funerals are a fun expense if you’re already struggling to pay the bills).
