I had a colleague that would make it a habit to greet everyone by name in the morning. E.g. ‘Goodmorning Dave’, ‘Goodmorning Ben’. It felt a bit weird at first but overtime him showing up was a point where the whole team felt connected and would chat about the weekend etc. He was former military (and would shake your hand if he had the opportunity) and he forced a bunch of tech people to bond unknowningly. I kinda do this now, at least when I come into the office if I run into someone I try to say some type of greeting with their name.
