Can we use this post and maybe discuss possible alternatives to JIRA?
- CodeSheikh 8y agoTrello
- ochrist 8y agoTrello was just bought by Atlassian (the company behind JIRA).
- chii 8y agoImplying that it's not good simply because it's now owned by Atlassian? Trello is good for what it's designed for - simple lists of lists of notes.
- chrisper 8y agoIt's probably implied that Trello one day will become Jira...
- ochrist 8y agoNah, not really. It was just for information. But Atlassian must have some kind of plan for Trello, and I for one can't guess what that might be.
- jschumacher 8y agoThe plan is to let Trello do what it does best, help people manage anything from organising a wedding to planning software projects.
- omegabravo 8y agoI use Azure VSTS and am very happy with it. The only issue I have is that you can't export issues to a XLS file without plugins. However, I've used Jira previously and it worked just fine for me and the team. YMMV
- landon32 8y agohttps://www.notion.so/ https://www.notion.so/ It's like Google Docs + Trello + a Wiki. We use it for our product roadmap and task management, and can easily link to documentation, specs, or discussion all in one platform. I'm a huge fan.
- jon-wood 8y agoWe use clubhouse.io at work and it’s the least bad project tracking system I’ve used.
- kreitje 8y agoYouTrack - https://www.jetbrains.com/youtrack/?fromMenu https://www.jetbrains.com/youtrack/?fromMenu It's pretty extensible and I find it easier to use than Jira. My complaints aren't necessarily against Jira the software, but the way it got setup at my org. It seemed more for stat building for the PMs to show during their annual review.
