I cant find this, do you have a link? I'm quite interested in what they do.
- techstrategist 8y agoApparently at least specialized lenses and stabilizers. https://petapixel.com/2017/06/30/truth-shot-iphone-style-ads/ https://petapixel.com/2017/06/30/truth-shot-iphone-style-ads...
- firefoxd 8y agoWell there is this: https://youtu.be/OkPter7MC1I https://youtu.be/OkPter7MC1I
- doe88 8y agoI don't doubt that is the kind of setup they use, but on this video I see a link to buy the lense advertised but it is not really implied that is what Apple used. Do we have a real knowledge of what hardware they really use for their materials? It would really be interesting to know at least for an information point of view.
- dingaling 8y agoThey mount DSLR lenses onto stripped-down iPhone chassis via custom adapters. So it demonstrates what the Sony sensor + Apple software can do, but isn't reproducible in the real World.
- matwood 8y agoIt's all about lighting, and doesn't have to have some complicated rigs. These guys have done a bunch of videos on getting professional shots out an iPhone. For example: https://fstoppers.com/education/new-iphone-fashion-shoot-bikinis-foam-core-and-flashlights-88260 https://fstoppers.com/education/new-iphone-fashion-shoot-bik... https://fstoppers.com/commercial/iphone-fashion-shoot-lee-morris-6173 https://fstoppers.com/commercial/iphone-fashion-shoot-lee-mo... For big money advertising shots, I'm sure Apple uses gimbals/tripods. I haven't seen any proof they attach giant Sony/Nikon lenses though.
