Could be converted to a cool mini-fridge
- voxadam 8y agoOr a toaster oven.
- monocasa 8y agoIt still runs. Let's keep the fridges to "for parts" ebay purchases for computers that combo of old and interesting.
- qaq 8y agoI was not suggesting this particular system.
- walrus01 8y agoSomething that looks cool and is cube shaped, but way less useful, like an SGI Crimson would make a better fridge.
- deerpig 8y agoSGI famously converted one of their Crimsons (which was a commercial failure) into a fridge and beer tap...
- sigvirt 8y agoThe Silicon Graphics crew did like their case mods. Adding to the list: a demo team had a deskside O2K with a top air-intake and side exhaust pipes like a dragster engine.
- octorian 8y agoLet's please stop doing that to interesting vintage computers. Well, at least to working (or fixable) ones. I cringe every time someone shows off that sort of project.
- qaq 8y agoWhile I was not suggesting doing to this particular model I would imagine a good chunk of them end up in a landfill.
