Lenovo Thinkpad P1 (2018)
- justaaron 8y agopreloaded with windows... next
- huydotnet 8y agowhy? just replace it with (gento|arch|...)
- batuhanicoz 8y agoI don't know how it works in your country but in Turkey you can return the Windows license and get your computer with FreeDOS so you don't have to use or pay for Windows.
- mk926 8y agoThat's great, I don't know we can do that, because I always use Ubuntu with my Thinkpad.
- King-Aaron 8y agoWhich mainstream manufacturers (i.e. HP, Lenovo, Asus, etc) sell machines like this that aren't preloaded with windows? And even with a machine that comes with Windows, is it really that hard to change over to linux? I don't see why this is a point of complaint.

- cascom 8y agocool computer - too bad its made by lenovo
- heisnotanalien 8y agoPro-tip: if you're going to market a high-end laptop then don't make the marketing/landing page look like a cheap knockoff with bad copywriting. Apple is the only one who gets this right.
- wildrhythms 8y agoProbably unrelated, but I'm interested in why Lenovo insists on appending ® ™ symbols, whereas Apple omits them altogether? https://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/ https://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/ It really clutters up the text.
- heisnotanalien 8y agoThe whole Lenovo page just feels tacky to me.
- technobabble 8y agoIf this follows Lenovo's pricing strategy, price will go down ~6 months after release.
- rurban 8y agoI'm still favoring the System76 Galago Pro though
