- erobbins 8y agoHe is! I've seen him present a couple of times and he's great. Funny as hell, super engaging, and makes good salient points.
- valedra 8y agoHe is like that in real life, too... I am in his department, and every single social event ends with him surrounded by a group of people, listening to his hilarious rants. At the same time, he's a great teacher, too. Somehow you learn things while listening to 90 minutes of his stand-up comedy.
- seanmcdirmid 8y agoHe was like that at MSR also. Microsoft lost someone great when he moved to Harvard.
- wyldfire 8y agoThis guy looks like the one who wrote those satire magazine-style articles.
- stouset 8y agoHe is that guy. Mickens is a legend.
- tedunangst 8y agoBut how can we be sure? Maybe there are two people with the same name who look exactly alike with the same writing style. If we put them all on the blockchain, do they have the same hash?
- arminiusreturns 8y agoYou just made me remember PC Accelerator. Anyone else remember that hilarious satire gaming magazine?
- justboxing 8y agoThanks for the link. This is hilarious! > This World Of Ours: Wherein it is revealed that 1024-bit keys cannot prevent people from sending their credit card numbers to Nigerian princes. (I think that 1025-bit keys might solve the problem, but nobody listens to my common-sense advice.)
- bigiain 8y agoMy favourite lne from my favourite Usenix paper: "YOU’RE STILL GONNA BE MOSSAD’ED UPON"
- ObsoleteNerd 8y agoThanks for this. I'd never heard of him. Been listening to his talks for the last 3 hours!
