Is there any link between high heat and herpes? There was some sauna study showing that people often doing sauna had significantly lower risk of Alzheimer. Maybe herpes is flushed out by excessive heat and sweating or rendered inefficient, even beyond blood-brain barrier?
- akuji1993 8y agoHm, now I'm interested if people in warmer countries / continents suffer less from Alzheimer's.
- blackkettle 8y agoJust a random guess, but I would hazard that it's not the heat. Going in a properly hot sauna and 'soaking' for 15min or more gets you really sweating, and increases your heart rate. Basically it 'gets your blood pumping', and _probably_ produces an activity profile not too different from mild exercise; and regular exercise has also been shown to consistently lower risk.
