If you aren't after a certain size or refresh rate, then 4K displays have gotten pretty affordable -- but if you want one with high refresh or a more exotic resolution things get quite expensive.

LG's 34WK95U (5K ultrawide, not out yet but supposedly will be next month), is $1500.
Personally, I have a 38UC99 right now and I want to stick with the 21:9 aspect ratio, so I'm waiting for that 34UK95U.
