The concern I have is that your dating profile will be hidden from people on your friends list. It's a bit unsettling that someone can start a dating profile hidden from an SO. And equally unsettling if FB blocked people who list a relationship status if they are polyamorus.
- e12e 8y agoThis way they can at least show relevant ads to your significant other before they're aware of an imminent break-up. Be that for Kleenex or Colt.
- thirdsun 8y agoHere's another perspective: As a Tinder user I definitely wouldn't use a Facebook dating service if my profile was open and accessable to all of my facebook friends. I value my privacy in this regard and don't want to showcase a dating profile among friends. And it's really not Facebook's duty to decide who should be able to date.
