I'm a native Brit and I would definitely call running a sport, I wasn't aware that it had a competitive connotation at all.
- pbhjpbhj 8y agoIt wasn't my intention to suggest things like running aren't sports, but on reflection whilst running is often a sport, it can also be just exercise. I think training, and competition, rules, and some form of winning are elements of all sports. It wasn't clear to me if they meant competitive physical activity, or not.
