Wait a minute, wasn't it supposed to be 2018?
- MBCook 9y agoThey never said that, they only said it was not going to be in 2017. The article says this was always their timeline. If you believe that. But they never said 2018 and I remember people being very skeptic le that 2018 would happen last year when they first announced they were working on a new Mac Pro.
- strictnein 9y agoYeah, it was "not 2017" and now they're saying: > We want to be transparent and communicate openly with our pro community so we want them to know that the Mac Pro is a 2019 product By "transparent and open" I guess they meant wait a year to tell people it's going to be another year?
- miles 9y agoTheir messaging was vague at best, leading to a number of articles like this one: https://web.archive.org/web/20170404192349/http://www.macworld.co.uk/news/mac/new-mac-pro-2018-latest-rumours-release-date-uk-price-features-specs-3536364/ https://web.archive.org/web/20170404192349/http://www.macwor... > In April 2017 Apple invited journalists to its Product Realization Lab and made a series of announcements relating to the Mac line, revealing among other things that a minor update to the Mac Pro is imminent and a major revamp will arrive in 2018.
