Eh?
- sudhirj 9y agoBeyond a certain distance (at which the human eye can no longer resolve pixels), all screens are Retina. https://designcompaniesranked.com/resources/is-this-retina/ https://designcompaniesranked.com/resources/is-this-retina/ The people in the images are likely past the Retina distance https://shop.avid.com/resource/1515153493000/cc_avid_gh_wur/img/tv3-main-image-1862x1040.jpg https://shop.avid.com/resource/1515153493000/cc_avid_gh_wur/... http://www.hillsvideo.com/assets/uploads/2015/08/video-editing-avid-final-cut-hills-video.jpg http://www.hillsvideo.com/assets/uploads/2015/08/video-editi...

- GuiA 9y agoThe author seems to be well in his middle age, and wears glasses. His visual acuity might make his subjective experience irrelevant on that specific point. I can tell the difference between retina and non retina 27” on a desk (but I have 20/10 vision, which makes my subjective experience irrelevant for most people too)
- matwood 9y agoYeah, I can also absolutely tell the difference and have a hard time using any non-retina monitor now.
- ec109685 9y agoActually I think it is worse with poor eye site. Blurry things look more blurry. I was surprised by that point but perhaps they have multi monitor setup at significant distance away.
