Arguably, the most important phase of hardware design is actual production of said design.
- amelius 9y agoI somewhat doubt that is still the case, with modern EDA tools.
- maxerickson 9y agoI think they were maybe making a joke about whether you want to use the chip or not.
- jrimbault 9y agoI think I mostly meant to hint at the [financial] difficulties of producing (and distributing) computer cpus at scale. And that a product which exists only on paper doesn't really exists.
