Genuine question: with an extremely strong password on the private key, what's wrong with just storing it on an external hard drive somewhere?
- g-b-r 9y agoIf you're speaking of something that you have to actively use, that in order to use it your computer will have to decrypt it, rendering it vulnerable to all attacks that a locally stored key would be.
