Do you have an example of that?
My experience on HN is that there exists a small minority of users who might shout you down, but I've never seen or heard of a user being banned for discussing something like this in good faith.
- jshevek 9y agoI've seen it claimed, without substantiation, that anyone who argues against the fashionable position can't possibly be doing so "in good faith" - because the unfashionable position itself is declared to be a bad faith position. I've seen this repeatedly on HN.
