Of course there are no killings. Mostly they were moved to small/half abandoned villages out of sight.
When society on all levels is really not-welcoming to homeless that may force some people to try much harder not to end-up as bum on the streets.
- bjl 9y ago> Mostly they were moved to small/half abandoned villages out of sight. That's not a whole lot better.
- pound 9y agoThat's against their will, but I'm not sure that letting someone to defecate in the middle of the streets is any good either
- stanmancan 9y agoHomeless people don't defecate on the streets; alcoholics, drug addicts and mentally ill people do. Those people need help, not to be sent off so they're out of sight.
- anovikov 9y agoThey are supposed to be sent to forced labor to chemical plants and other harmful conditions work (Belarus also has a lot of work to do on contaminated Chernobyl lands, so maybe there as well). Thing is, bumming is a crime. As far as i know, it is a felony in just about every country. It is just that cops are closing their eyes on this crime so frequently that most people even forgot that it was against the law.
- pound 9y agoIt is not a crime on its own, unless you live in opressive country. Against the law should be actions making it not safe for others
- Quarrelsome 9y ago> Of course there are no killings. We're talking about Belarus here. Its not a happy-clappy place even if it does its best to look like that on the surface.
