I worked on some prototypes years ago on android that handled a payment from a contactless bank card on your phone.
So in the payments space:
- phone as a payment terminal
- peer to peer payments
I'm sure there's more than that but they're the low hanging fruit
- MBCook 9y agoUnfortunately it's read only so that stuff won't be coming to iOS.
- brad0 9y agoI don't believe you need to write to the card in order to do payments. You send byte streams and it generates OTPs.
- MBCook 9y agoI was thinking of cases where you may need to update the balance on the card. You're right, if you only used it as authorization I guess you wouldn't need write access.
