Love seeing WebRTC and WebAssembly in the new version!
But truth be told, the only thing I really want from Safari is favicons on tabs along with page title. Kills usability for me otherwise.
- dbbk 9y agoWoah, WebRTC at last? They kept that one quiet.
- MBCook 9y agoHadn't some of the developers said publicly that they were in the middle of working on it sometime in the last year? It seems like I start being brought up as "under development" every time someone complained about it here on HN.
- cpncrunch 9y agoYeah, they publicly advertised for a WebRTC developer last year, so it was pretty clear they were working on it.
- asendra 9y agoNot really.
- JohnTHaller 9y agoWait... Safari doesn't have icons in the tabs? I thought every browser did. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge, Opera all do.
- BugsJustFindMe 9y ago> the only thing I really want from Safari is favicons on tabs It's like engineers at Apple don't even use Safari. If they did, this would have been done years ago. Trying to eyeball a bunch of tabs without favicons is horrendous.
- caiob 9y agoThat's exactly one of the reasons I use Safari as my daily driver. Not everybody likes the shiny colorful icons. I think it looks better without it.
- buu700 9y agoWebRTC and wasm are really exciting to see finally land. The only thing that would've been better news for me is HPKP.
