So mostly government, or public service companies. I think this is not even discussion worthy as long as there is not one big rich guy or purely private corp owning a lot. The only thing presented in the map getting close is the crown.

When I visited some Oxbridge colleges the story was that the richest colleges owned land stretching from one coast to the other in a continuous band. The are still families with estates that own the associated village, I gather.
