Anytime I read something like this I just want to quit the entire industry. It's depressing. It's all just shit now.
- NotSammyHagar 10y agoNo, don't give up. I know a lot of people are doing a lot of assembling packages into building something, so there's little pride of craft. But there is still great handmade ('bespoke') software happening. In Seattle, there are jobs where you are writing something new, solving a problem. I think databases are where it's at.
