  So if someone were to go around kidnapping people's kids and torturing and murdering them, and film it, you think it should be totally legal and completely victimless for people to distribute those videos? I think you've lost touch with morality and sense.

It should be totally legal to distribute those videos, especially if it helps identifying the kidnapper. I think the case you presented here is even easier as those videos will not damage reputation of someone murdered, it is even more obvious it is not a mistake of murder victim than in a case of rape. By the way, isn't it already legal? Parts of such videos (video footage of murderers performing their crimes and other evidence archives) were even put on TV.

      No snuff films are not legal and trying to scew that as crime scene evidence or documentary evidence to try and find the culprit is a logical leap so far fetched that I doubt your sincerity in having a rational discussion on this issue.
