It makes me incredibly distrustful of their motives in the future. If they supported Obamas actions because he was on "their team" then how do I know that any attacks on Trump are based in fact instead of more partisan motives?
- kasey_junk 10y agoIt can be trivially argued that Hillary lost because her base was so lukewarm to her & a big reason for that was because of her support for violent encounters. Instead of the result of that being we bomb less people it seems to be that we are going continue to bomb them and also enact amoral immigration policy. At this point it's not about partisan ship it's about morality for many of us. In one week we've gone full bore insane. I'll be first in line to support any republican that stands against or.
- mjmsmith 10y agoYou pay more attention to the facts than the motives.
- cmdrfred 10y agoThat is what I do. And in that regard both parties have a great deal of blood on their hands.
- mjmsmith 10y agoSo do the facts make you in favor of this order or not?
- cmdrfred 10y agoNot at all. I'm not afraid of terrorism, as far as I can tell it's mostly used as a reason to keep weapons manufacturers employed and a surveillance/police state chugging along smoothly. The actual odds of dying in a terrorist attack are lower than winning the lottery. I actually used to consider myself on to lean to the democratic side. At least during the Bush years when they appeared to be anti-war party. Just lately, everything has been so sanctimonious and hypocritical from them that I'm no longer able to vote for them.
- somebehemoth 10y agoRepublicans and Democrats supported bombings. You've made a false dichotomy to suit your own bias.
