- atmosx 10y agoEncryption is meant to provide security in a hostile environment (the cloud in this instance). So, as long as you're using proper encryption and long enough pass phrases to make brute-forcing nearly impossible, storing info on the cloud should be okay.
- chj 10y agoWell, I prefer to store the password files on Dropbox because Dropbox guys are unlikely to know how the files are encrypted. That actually makes brute-forcing a little bit more difficult.
- snuxoll 10y agoWhy not? 1Password is built on the assumption that your vault could be copied by an adversary at any time, a 1Password account is even theoretically more secure because in addition to needing your master password they also need your account key which can only be retrieved from an existing device (or your recovery toolkit that you promptly printed and stored in a fire safe, right?).
