Many decentralized projects really give me hope for a secure and private internet. Though there are still big problems with those systems (e.g. sybil attacks and what not) and general adoption rate. But you do already see block-chain technology used by huge industries like for diamonds and projects like ZeroNet are surprisingly user friendly and visually pleasing (though sadly most zites use a centralized identity authority.)
