Is this really the case? I've seen estimates of around 70-80% of websites using PHP as part of their backend. Granted, many of these would be simple Wordpress sites or other blogging/shopping/content management platforms where almost no actual coding by the user is involved.
- jqueryin 10y agoI think 1123581321 may be referring to those that consider themselves professionals as opposed to, say, hobbyists.
- 1123581321 10y agoSorry, that was unclear. What I mean is that a lower percentage of PHP-using professionals participate in professional development than, say, the percentage of Python-using professionals who do. I agree that PHP is popular.
