1) His level of knowledge is reasonable for someone who does networking programming full time
2) We are getting description from him. When I interviewed at Google, they asked me to prove that P is equal to NP, and I did, but they said that it took me longer than allotted 45 minutes and I didn't get an offer.
- vmasto 10y agoOh hey what are you going to do with your million?
- gautamdivgi 10y agoYou proved P = NP??? In a little more than 45 mins or did you misunderstand the question?
- mcphage 10y agoHis point was that, hearing only one side of the story, the OP could claim whatever they wanted.

- krapp 10y agoIf I were asked that question, my answer would be that obviously P != NP because the former doesn't have an N at the front. The pain of being tossed out onto the pavement would totally be worth it.
- dekhn 10y agoP = NP if N = 1, or P is 0. That doesn't take 45 minutes.

- davesque 10y agoMaybe they didn't hire you because your claim that you proved P=NP in 45 minutes is ridiculous.
