- leereeves 10y agoApple supplier Pegatron is under fire for “excessive overtime” and illegal working conditions.
- electic 10y agoThanks! Even better than mine.
- 20yrs_no_equity 10y agoExcept that Pegatron has many customers. Including the name Apple at all is pure clickbait.
- h_r 10y agoI'd like to know what percentage of their business is from Apple though. I suspect it is their biggest customer by far.
- joe_the_user 10y agoApple is under for the excessive overtime at Pegatron because Apple mandated labor standards for their suppliers according to the article. Apple is company which is subject to public pressure due to being a consumer product company whereas Pegatron pretty isn't subject to direct pressure. Thus Apple gets the "fire"
- manicdee 10y agoFrom the article: "Apple stipulates that workers should have at least one day off a week and work no more than 60 hours." … and yet it is Apple under fire?
- trav4225 10y ago"Go get more robots, Apple. Humans don’t deserve this." Fine, but how exactly will erasing the jobs help these people?
