I'm always re-adjusting when I do long-term reading, every 15-20 minutes at least. My arms do get tired, I start laying down, rest the book on the mattress/couch and just hold the page open, but then the arm gets tired and you have to roll over and do the same with the other arm. It's arduous work, reading is.
And that's with paperbacks. This thing is 1.5 pounds.
- joe_the_user 17y agoI was tossing this question around with a friend. A thick paperback can easily be two pounds. But paperback can folded or even dropped. You don't need to free one hand to interact with it. Amazon Kindle is 10 onces. The controls are to the bottom and the side. It's specifically limited to reading. If a iPad user has to select an icon in the middle of screen on a regular basis, it will be an ergonomic challenge. Remember, a standard desktop or lap is actually already hard on the body.
