- hueving 10y agoWhat destroyed the enrichment devices in Iran then?
- 98216381 10y agoThe incompetence of the operators of the devices.
- calgoo 10y agoHackers and state actors. Whatever tools the used where just that. If someone uses a wrench destroy the enrichment devices, did the wrench destroy the device or the person using it?
- hueving 10y agoIf they used a bomb to destroy it, we'd still classify the bomb as a weapon regardless of whether you say the bomb destroyed it or the bomber.
- Dylan16807 10y agoBut if they had started flipping the power switch rapidly we wouldn't call the power switch a weapon. You can destroy a lot of devices that way.
- hueving 10y agoWe would call a device a weapon that allowed you to remotely switch the power switch rapidly undetected.
- Dylan16807 10y ago...uh huh. I thought later about explicitly adding that. A device that can rapidly flick a power switch is also not a weapon. You can get that on amazon in the electronics section, and trivially add remote control. Think of the people with home automation systems, where they can press a button on their phone to turn the lights on and off in their living room. You are saying that they have installed a weapon. That is crazy. It could damage their washing machine, but so could a 2-liter of soda.
