Summary
Given a version number MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH, increment the:
MAJOR version when you make incompatible API changes,
MINOR version when you add functionality in a backwards-compatible manner, and
PATCH version when you make backwards-compatible bug fixes.
- takeda 11y agoThat's what amenod was referring to. The current versioning model is different than semantic versioning model that everyone is used to. Personally I really hate how everyone (especially web browsers) blindly copies what Google comes up with, without putting much thought into it, whether it is UI changes, versioning or behavior changes.
