The GOP, widely perceived as ineffective in opposing Obama policies out of fear of being labeled a racist, has lost almost all credibility with their constituents. Trump appears to speak his mind and he has no fear of being labeled anything he knows he isn't, so it's no surprise he has so much support in the current political climate.
