I have also reached this sad conclusion about myself, and also others around me: my wife, my parents, brother, friends, and now I'm also starting to notice how my kids are slowly becoming addicted.
Having quit smoking and TV, I sure hope I can quite my smartphone too, and get my family also to kick the habit.
- api 11y agoAnything that allows people to momentarily escape consciousness is a sure seller. It hurts to be aware.
- analog31 11y agoWhat saddens me is that the time my kids spend passively consuming electronics and software, is the time that I spent at the same age, learning how to actively create electronics and software.
