I've poked at the language a bit over time and while I don't think I'll ever "get" rust, I can say the folks in #rust on irc.mozilla.org are friendly and helpful, which can't be said for all languages.

The docs stomped me, too. I sent suggestions for metaphors and such that might help confused people. They're hard at work on the issues from what I've seen, though. So don't give up yet: check back in a year or so to see if revisions bring you extra clarity. :)
