- espeed 11y agoSee Sussman's talk at Strange Loop 2011: "We Really Don't Know How To Compute!" (http://www.infoq.com/presentations/We-Really-Dont-Know-How-To-Compute http://www.infoq.com/presentations/We-Really-Dont-Know-How-T...) Thomas Kristensen is working on implementing the propagator in Clojure (https://github.com/tgk/propaganda https://github.com/tgk/propaganda) -- you can see his ClojureConj talk here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXOOO9MLvhs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXOOO9MLvhs
- nickpsecurity 11y agoIt looks like the Scheme version of Flow-based Programming (aka dataflow programming) or hardware synthesis. Not sure how well that works for general software but Paul Morrison led a lot of work using it in industry (eg banking apps). It's also made a comeback in recent years for acceleration of software, optionally with hardware engines. So, could an expert in these things tell me what this paper innovates or offers over mature Flow-based programming's way of doing things?
