A list of JavaScript WYSIWYG editors
- jdp23 11y agoThere sure are a lot of them ... Does anybody have experience with wysiwyg.js? http://wysiwygjs.github.io/ http://wysiwygjs.github.io/
- marijn 11y agoWell, since there seems to be a JS rich text editing item on here every day now, let me just link to my up and coming project in this space again: http://prosemirror.net http://prosemirror.net
- bobfunk 11y agoDefinitively the most promising project in this space in very, very, very long time! There's such a bad need for a rich text editor that doesn't just mess with HTML in a contentEditable field and tries to hack around all the issues with that. And if anybody can manage to implement a full rich text editor in the browser without contentEditable, it's Marijn - since there's so many lessons from CodeMirror that'll carry over...
- degenerate 11y agoYour linting demo is an incredible attempt to bridge semantic markup and non-tech-savvy user input: http://prosemirror.net/demo_lint.html http://prosemirror.net/demo_lint.html I haven't seen anything this user friendly before. Very well done.
- amelius 11y agoThis looks very good, in fact it looks more promising than anything I've seen. The one thing that seems to be missing still is extensive documentation, or is that somewhere to be found already?
- marijn 11y agoNope, does not exist yet. This is something I'll be working on once funding succeeds [1]. [1]: http://indiegogo.com/projects/prosemirror/ http://indiegogo.com/projects/prosemirror/
- amelius 11y agoThey seem to have ignored the "collaborative" angle, which is important because we're talking about web applications.
- oever 11y agoWebODF is a fine addition to that list. http://www.vandenoever.info/blog/2015/05/30/typing-together-alone.html http://www.vandenoever.info/blog/2015/05/30/typing-together-...
