It does have findings, it’s just a long article. Maybe longer than it needs to be. Looks like their SERP ads CPC increased by 30% and conversions decreased, display ad conversions plummeted (partially offset by cheaper CPMs) and YouTube ads

There’s a good chance someone already had this idea, explored it, and found a reason why it can’t work.

That sounds like a frustrating experience. I wonder what caused this problem? We’re the people leading your company’s subsidiary’s hiring efforts incompetent? Was it a management issue? It’s not like there’s something about being German or

I had a bit more of a think. I overstated my position. I slightly prefer a number display when setting cruise control. It does take me conscious effort to set the cruise control at precisely the level I want without it.

That’s fascinating! I don’t think I’ve ever had to expend any conscious effort whatsoever to read a car speedo. I guess you’re not an analog watch fan either?

Most coworking spaces or serviced offices don’t have external monitors included, unfortunately. And of course, you’re then limited to cities and have to commute. Airbnb but with a gaming room (or two?) and fast internet sounds ideal for my

I have the exact same problem. I’ve tried carrying portable monitors and VESA mounts but it not the same. And it doesn’t solve the desk and chair problem. That’s the main thing stopping me and my wife spending half the year remote. The two

I guess I’m not sure how it’s deceptive? Yes, content isn’t segregated at the top level into foreign and domestic, but the original language is clearly shown and there are many country or language-specific categories too. Maybe in Blockbust

Imagine a paid streaming service that has, say, the Lord of the Rings trilogy as part of their catalogue. They’ll be happy if you send people searching for “watch Lord of the Rings now” to their landing page. But if instead you send everyon

Does it seem like a criticism of Rivest, Shamir and Adleman using the name Alice? Or of others projecting gendered assumptions onto Alice?

That’s something you do if you’re poor. Not if you’re rich but your parents want to teach you the value of hard work and self sufficiency.

Your comment looks a lot like a common trope on this site: people encountering a problem they know little about, thinking for 20 seconds, and saying “You could just…” And that’s annoying because it’s arrogant and it invalidates people who

They’re using the difference between TikTok and Instagram to conclude (by implication at least) that TikTok has a bias. But the same data could just as easily imply Instagram has a bias, or both do. Or something else. Or nothing.

This was a problem in 3 and 3.5 era too and was only exacerbated by the rise of forums and wikis. I don’t think it’s possible to release one-size-fits-all-the-crap-that’s-out-there campaigns that are going to be actually interesting. At som

That’s perhaps not the best example because the US was deeply involved in Afghani politics from the early 1970s and at least indirectly responsible for fucking up countless of Afghani lives prior to 9/11. But that said, I agree with yo
