Personally, I'm looking forward to five more of these projects springing up, after which someone can great a meta boilerplate framework for abstracting all the boilerplate frameworks. It can have its own meta preset format that transl

No, that's also a myth: https://mobile.nytimes.com/blogs/well/2016/05/09/dehydration... In most cases, thirst is a reliable signal that more water is needed.

How on earth is Street Spirit not even on the list? Yorke himself had called it "our purest, saddest song.", and went on to say: I can’t believe we have fans that can deal emotionally with that song. That’s why I’m convinced that

Not sure of the insight, here. "Optimize experiences and be an order of magnitude better" doesn't seem to be especially actionable. The most useful bit seemed to be about building KPIs around core user journeys, but that fee

I think that's a bit unfair. It presumes git is trying to abstract it's internals in the first place. It's not. Git is unapologetically a tool for manipulating a DAG, and puts that right in your face. This has pros and cons.

A hypocritically preachy Facebook corporation is much better than an absolutely cynical one. If you ask me, for a lot of these tech companies, this is a false dichotomy: they're outwardly preachy and inwardly cynical. How better to

Instead of what? Buying into the BS? I'd rather take an honest, measured view of these companies. Many have the potential to change our lives, for both good and ill. Buying into the BS is a great way to short circuit healthy skept

It's the tech delusion. I don't know a start-up that doesn't have some grandiose vision of themselves as the future saviors of humanity. Uber, Tesla, Facebook, Airbnb, you name it... it's all the same "save the wo

Your hypothetical business is clearly not built on the requirement of an exit as the only path to success (unless you and I have a profoundly different definition of the word "healthy"). If the business is healthy and you simply

If you've played the game, read the article. Dwarf Fortress is like owning an incredibly ugly dog. Everyone knows it's ugly. You can even laugh at how ridiculous it is. But you can still love it all the same.

Snaps have a sharing mechanism called interfaces but yes, the software author has to declare they want to use it, no magic there. So, they've reinvented dependencies (though, to their credit, they gave them a different name), one of
