We're on this thread here to make housing more affordable, not to ensure your kids get your investment. Actually with a 99 year lease they probably will get it, just not your grandkids.

I've been looking at Singapore which is interesting with most people living in pseudo-public housing. The govt owns the apt buildings and people buy 99 year leases ( which you can sell). The idea that you can't own land/space

https://www.levels.fyi/ is actually pretty good for this. My last job asked me what I wanted, I sent them some links then its pretty clear to both sides what normal is.

I've pretty much stopped using my dSLR. My (android) phone isn't quite as good but so much smaller and more convenient its completely taken over. I'm torn whether I should upgrade dSLR because I love them, but will probably g

I moved to the US from the UK and I think it was a mistake. The first 5 years were great now my kids have settled I feel kinda stuck. I didn't mind working non stop and dedicating life to work, but its a drag.

Compared to SF/NY salaries are low. Compared to Chicago/Denver/Houston UK tech salaries are probably similar. Traditionally the big banks in the city paid very highly but since the financial collapse pay has stagnated. A low
