"Scientific parable fiction" is a pretty narrow genre (though I'd personally argue that Yudkowsky does a pretty poor job of it - for example, Harry constantly assuming things without testing them and just happening to be righ

Given that the early parts of the story are written in such a way that the narrative treats Harry's behavior as completely right and justified, it seems far more likely to be a retcon done years after the fact than some secret master p

We have no way to know if homulilly got drunk and puked on the floor in public, but we do know that Yudkowsky and assorted Lesswrong visitors had a reaction to the Roko's basilisk concept that most relatively "normal" people

I'm seriously surprised at how many people here are fans of Yudkowsky, given his lack of any real productive output beyond thought experiments and fanfiction, the distinctly weird stuff he judges as right by taking his philosophy to th

Most universities don't have a software engineering program, just a CS program. Typically it's one that's heavier on the software aspects than the mathematical part of things.

A nitpick: All the animated stuff in the properties sidebar is distracting and feels slow and annoying. Also, I might be tempted to pay $29.99, but $49.99 feels like too much to me for such a niche product, especially since that's more
