That's a great quote. Also, don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

If you can make a Mac Mini into an HTPC, you can follow some Youtube videos to replace a Hard Disk and RAM. It's just a few screws and a single cable.

I thought the author had an older Mac Mini that would be upgradeable, since they were looking at buying the 2014 model.

Why would anyone buy a Mac Mini and put Linux on it?! There are a million other small PCs that are far better for that. If I was going to buy a Mac Mini, it's to have an affordable Mac that I can stick somewhere in my house to run occa

Yeah what the hell, how can you write a tech blog complaining about a product if you don't perform even the most basic of system maintenance. Or, if you are doing maintenance, why not explain what you are doing? Also, can't a Mac

LastPass provides a web frontend though, which may be a feature GP is after. I mean, I think having a Web UI for your password manager is fucking insane, but some people like it.

I can attest to MiniKeePass's quality. I've been using it for years now. I upload my keepass and key file to Dropbox (I know, I know) and then export them to MiniKeePass from the Dropbox app. MiniKeepass auto-associates the key fi

I wonder how often those conversations take place before someone(s) fork a project because it's "abandoned". But I love KeepassX and I'll certainly try using the fork.

But Apple makes (seemingly) no effort to encourage developers to allow limited location access. Why can't iOS be in charge of when an app uses my location when the app is backgrounded? The reminder only appears once per app, as far as
