He did mention there's a certain mouse-lag on cursor based games and Photoshop with mouse-lag would be kinda bad. I don't see how you could solve the problem either. His 14 ms ping is probably as good as it gets and even the smartest softwa

Can't we just admit that the iPhone's 320x480 pixel display was getting kinda old and was due to an upgrade? Yes more pixels = things looks sharper. Other phones had better displays for a while, now the iPhone has a great one too. I think t

So this is what you do when you retire in your late 20's after selling your start-up? :)

Well quiet simple, it has something to do with how the cellphone market in the US is much younger then Europe's. Back in the mid-to-late 90's Nokia made the best cellphones out there. They were clearly superior and pretty much everybody was

Well it's a 960x640 display, which is pretty cool, no? Don't know why they've come up with this whole "retina" BS, but that's just Apple I guess.

Ha Awesome! Totally fits the stereotype of Google being the superior engineering company that has no clue when in comes to appealing design. I mean when you look at this YOU JUST KNOW open-source linux guys are responsible for it: http://w

The only thing I hate about Android is the delay these devices hit Europe. Back when the Droid was the hottest thing ever, by the time it was available here Google released the NexusOne. So ok .. I guess I wait for the NexusOne then. Now it

Why not built there own wireless syncing system between iPhone/iPad/PC? They are a software company after all, aren't they? Can't be that hard. As I understand it they already have the basics done with MobileMe.

Why do we need to rationalize this device? Didn't we all agree in January that the iPad is indeed a slick product, but serves really no purpose for the average hacker. Now it's out and you bought it anyway because you couldn't resist Apple

less verbose, really? People are giving Java crap for having to do string1.equals(string2) instead of string1 == string2, but what about [string isEqualToString:string2]. Also concating strings in Objective-C makes my eyes bleed. I still li

Well surely not extinction, but maybe mass reduction. Of course some stuff always survives, but 5 billion or so humans dying due to lack of food and clean water, isn't really that cool either, is it?

Yes and no. To be honest I think right now nobody has a god damn clue how the body regulates fat and how weight gain really works. People recommend fruits, while fructose is probably one of the worst things you can eat. I can only recommend

Sounds pretty reasonable, but common, if they needed to prohibit cross-compilers, did they really needed to do that just RIGHT BEFORE CS5 was going to ship? Any developer putting that much resources into something would be pissed. Adobe did

Yes I agree with you. I was strictly talking about performance. There are things BlackBerrys do better than the iPhone and there are also things that are simply impossible on the iPhone, due to its locked-down nature.

Hi, I develop for both iPhone and BlackBerrys. The iPhone is way ahead in performance, although the hardware is similiar - BlackBerrys just don't have a dedicated GPU and therefore no OpenGL acceleration. Also everything on RIM OS is runni

I'd guess some guys custom HN Mod, so he can easily see what he has read and what not. Maybe it has more features for him when he's logged in, like saving etc. Also it's pink.

I really hope Apple never invites them to any press announcement again, sends them review devices and boycott them as much as possible. Usually I disagree with Apple's policy a lot (who doesn't?), but what Gizmodo has done was really cheap
