That would be false. They might have moved to osm recently, but Tesla’s basemap has been TomTom since ‘17. Google data might have been used for POI, but never for basemap or navigation.

Tesla builtin maps use TomTom, which is low quality compare to Google Maps or the new Apple Maps. I find it to be the biggest turn-off.

One thing Safari really needs to fix: suggesting a secure password but then not save it. I have been trolled too many times.

Is anyone able to find an actual flight footage with unaltered audio. I'm curious to see how loud this is. Considering all the flight footages are either muted or edited with music, I assume the answer is very loud.

One thing I noticed in the new Apple maps is traffic lights and stop signs in the Bay Area. Really handy when navigating.

Extreme beliefs are usually coping mechanisms. It’s not something to be envious about.

Pets such as rabbits, hamsters, dogs are also prone to heart attacks. I think it has more to do with sedentary lifestyle. Unfortunately for most pets, it's not by choice.

I live in west sj with a lot that qualifies for backyard unit. This sounds like a good idea but it glances over too many details. What say does the home owner in the tenant screening process. What happens if I'm not happy with any of t

That's a lot of mis-information. Hotz exchanged some tweets with Musk but never worked for Tsla. Comma uses cameras, not HD maps.

I interned at Microsoft in late 2000's. The sales engineers had an "anti oss" budget. Many of these guys still work at Microsoft today, now "hearts" open source and linux...

I still remember paying $20 for the Atlas early access but never heard anything after. It was kickstarter before kickstarter. Truly ahead of its time in more than one ways.

I do nodejs work on iPad with digitalocean + tmux. I don't know if on-device setup will ever match a true nix environment.

Looks like the new ceo has a track record of selling open source companies. It's likely docker would be up for sale in one or two years time.

I don't quite understand the problem they are trying to solve. Is there so many change sets that they couldn't provision enough ci servers, hence the "speculation graph with probabilistic model"?

Disappointed in ACLU's stance. Why not apply the same logic to other parts of admission and ensure Asian students receive equal share of sport scholarships.

OCaml is a ML language with many concepts directly translateable to what you would consider to be "hip" language. swift, reason, clojure. These interns are given technically meaningful work instead of pushing sql/json around.

Seeing how Do Not Call registry has failed, I have little faith in a GDPR like legislation being properly enforced. The likes of Google and FB can easily lobby/bribe their way out of it, or simply just pay the fines and business as usu

But it would selectively drive out productive members of community. Adding more rules to an already broken legislation would not work in the long run.

The option is not in the demo, but looks like you have to do a custom build and use mapbox stylesheet for base maps.
