Fairly obvious practical detail -- I'm at someplace new, where I don't have internet. I see if there are any open networks, no dice, but I see an encrypted network as www.wifis.org/poop. I think "oh, great, maybe my neighbor is friendly and

Not a bad idea. Considering the whole codebase is super short and simple, this shouldn't be a problem for most people.

Aside from the fact that that's a horrible habit, even following those steps, you couldn't have missed it. Anyway, enough of this discussion. Let's talk about the actual keylogger -- Comments? Questions? Suggestions?

Here's a solid way to log actual keys from the keyboard (rather than just terminal input) using evdev. It's not good for, say, logging keys of a headless server, but it is good for logging keystrokes from a computer with a monitor and keybo

Will we be able to modify the software running on the device? I sure as hell don't want information about my car's problems or GPS whereabouts, not to mention a detailed record of when I'm speeding, to be uploaded to "the cloud". And of cou

Despite my usual cynicism about #javascripthipster projects, this does actually look kinda neat. The one thing that rubbed me the wrong way is the "let" keyword. Why can't we just declare variables without it, like C does? I suppose because

You're right to say that a < 250 line shell script doesn't match 1pass's bloat. But there are ways, and there will be ways to make all this happen, ways that are nice and clean and pretty, and don't add much additional complexity, as yo

Yea, you could use openssl. But GPG in general is the de facto unix way to go about crypting things. Straight up openssl is good for somethings, making little shell scripts like "dcat" is nice for others, but for general purpose encryption
