It wont replace humans in the foreseeable future as they can not reason or react to changes they werent trained on. Bosses are jumping on a hype train making decisions in fields they barely have expertise in, which is the frustrating part.

Absolutely, programmers are paid exceptionally well compared to a lot of other jobs. If they live paycheck to paycheck they are doing things wrong, especially when having family.

Exactly, the actual business value is way smaller people think and its honestly frustrating. Yes they can write boilerplate, yes they sometimes do better than humans in well understood areas. But its negligible considering all the huge issu

Absolutely. If the knowledge is verifiable. Kurzgesagt recently uploaded a video about this, its a lot harder to verify statements due to AI. Not easier. Here is the video in case you are interested: https://youtu.be/_zfN9wn

I mean that this "tooling" becomes inaccessible to people. At least the tooling that is relevant for jobs. Employers will eventually stop hiring human based on their programming competence. It'll translate into a low pay care

If LLMs could reason, they would flourish in barely understood topics, they dont. They repeat after what humans already said over and over again all across the training data. They are a parrot, its really not that hard to understand.
