Yeah, I don't know why they do that. I was just responding to the decrypted key being stored in memory.

That's how they work - the PIN decrypts the encrypted seed key. However, after decryption, the seed key ("recovery key") is kept around in memory in order to actually be able to sign transactions/etc.

The recovery key isn’t just used for recovery - every operation is derived from the recovery key. The device has to know it, in plaintext, in order to actually do anything.

If you’re willing to pass over all sorts of personal information, it’s pretty easy to get much higher lots, on several exchanges.

I wish the “Do Not Disturb While Driving” would re-enable itself after the car starts moving again. I lie and tell it I’m not driving all the time at a light to select the next podcast.

Apple isn’t asking you to do anything. They’re just describing how to customize the behavior if you want to .

Battery life is always bad right after installing a new major iOS release. Every time. Give it a couple days, it’ll probably be fine. Most of the time, turning off wifi to preserve battery is more superstition than real.

My impression is that the distance is not "as a crow flies". It's distance given the mode of travel you specify.

Ah, you're right. The other option is force-touching the Settings icon... but the SE doesn't have force-touch, I believe.

I did the same for Facebook - no more notifications. Unfortunately, that also stops notifications from Messenger which I'd prefer to get, but oh well.

No, even the Bitcoin Cash blockchain could not handle even a small percentage of HFT traffic. Like the poster above said, this activity is all internal exchange accounting.

That's what 99% of the businesses that accept Bitcoin (that aren't themselves crypto-coin based businesses) do. Overstock is a counter-example. They keep 50% of the BTC they collect now as investment.
