That survey is unrepresentative for scripting, since it's a survey of all Clojure applications. Scripting tends to be one-off, custom high level logic. I'm sure any Clojure user will tell you that short programs start fast enough

In web development you live-reload code in the running Clojure app, so turn-around time is excellent. (ClojureScript has very good live reload support as well)

I think Clojure fits well to quick scripts and exploraory programming, because of the rapid turnaround in interactive development. The finished tool, if compiled, will start fast enough (~1 second for hello world) even though it loses a bit

Nitpick: HDTV tech came about, depending how you count, in ~1980. There were lobbying efforts to bring it to the US in 1987. Seinfeld came out 1989. References: http://ecee.colorado.edu/~ecen4242/marko/TV_History&#

For a serverless system that uses Lambda together with eg CloudFormation, Dynamo, and S3, Cognito etc - it's pretty low level and you spend a lot of time understanding, refining & debugging basic things. The end-to-end logging and

There are many cycling-happy cities in Europe with different weather and geography[0]. Barcelona is pretty warm, for example. [0] https://www.wired.com/2015/06/copenhagenize-worlds-most-bike...

What's the life expectancy of 18650 cells found by cherry picking still working cells from dead battery packs? Ie. if you test them and find ones that seem good, will they last hundreds of cycles?

By that list, it does not sound like many EU countries require you to keep it with you with threat of penalty. Certainly very far from "most". Netherlands sounds like a strange exception to the rule with otherwise liberal society.

The VPN's upstream ISP can, and all the web properties you visit can. There is nothing to prevent your last mile ISP and the those parties from colluding (by correlating the traffic) if they find this information valuable.

I would also guess it's not widely happening currently. But it's certainly feasille and technially easy, and may become lucrative to do if "VPN" use becomes more widespread or other motives enter the picture.

People on average were willing to pay a lot for roaming, because it was charged from: - business travelers (someone else's money) - high income people (will still roaming even if it's expensive) And it had a loophole for frugal pe

Residential ISP's often belong to same conglomerates that own web properties, ad networks etc. So they can correlate last-mile VPN traffic with web traffic by correlating IP packet sizes/timings.

Smartphones are insecure unless you can control all your users have new Apple phones. The problem with many affordable TOTP tokens is clock drift. Are RSA's tokens better with that?

Some data hoarders can be acommodated since the service only cares about average usage per user. Also data deduplication works even for data hoarders if they are hoarding media commonly shared on the internet. Given the above points, I thin
